Faces of Chi Alpha: Caleb Van Duinen

1 Where are you from? I’m from Merritt, Michigan. I just moved to San Angelo in January of 2009, and started attending ASU during the fall semester of the same year.

2 How did you get involved with Chi Alpha? My cousin Talyor was already involved when I moved here to come to live with him, and so he got me coming out.

3 Favorite XA memory so far? I really enjoyed our mission trip over Spring Break, the Home Makeover in Alvarado, TX. It was cool to help somebody out, and I really enjoyed getting to know new people.

4 Favorite thing about XA? I like the Bible lessons that Lennon gives, as well as time in small groups. I really love to learn, especially about the Bible.

5 What can you tell us about your family?
I have one older brother and sister, and a younger sister who my family adopted from China. My dad is a pastor, very well-studied, and I grew up around the church.

6 What do you like to do in your downtime? I like to play basketball or work out. I like to read my Bible or hang out with people.

7 If you were stranded on a deserted island, and could only bring 3 things, what would they be? 1) My Bible 2) A knife 3) Matches.

8 Favorite movie? Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

9 What is one thing most people don’t know about you? I’m 6′7″, and I like to play basketball.
